Coleton James is a mixed media artist from Madison, Wisconsin. Due to his tactical awareness, Coleton gravitates toward shapes and materials that arouse a high perceptibility to touch. With his ceramic work, Coleton creates organic conformations using paper towel that evoke a tactful awareness to subtle idiosyncrasies of labor. 

Coleton identifies as an experimenter as much as an artist; photography, videography, mixed media installations, ceramics, and drawing, to name a few mediums. All his art gravitates toward industrial materials in junction with our haphazard natural world and expressed through his cultural experiences.
